If you are interested in a 2 year term on the LRITA Board of Directors, serving from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2013, please let us know at elections@lrita.org by submitting:

Name (as you want it shown)
Company (if you would like that shown)
Affiliations/honors/certificates, etc (if you would like)
Paragraph describing your interest/qualification (biography - please keep it to half a page or less)

This information will be used on ballots at our annual meeting April 7, 2011.

Board seats are decided by election by LRITA members.

To qualify for a Board seat you need to be a paid member.

Serving on the Board entails:

  1. LRITA Board meetings, at least quarterly
  2. Appointment of Board officers
  3. Serving either as chair or a participating member on at least one of the committees
  4. Carrying out the purpose and objectives of the LRITA Board, which are guided by the Constitution and Bylaws
  5. Active participation in planning and execution of the Annual Conference

LRITA Board - Elections Committee

Representation after the initial board will be elected by the Full Members of LRITA at our Annual Conference. The first Board of Directors is composed of individuals and companies who helped form the organization. The Board of Directors is to be composed of 13 directors and aspires to represent a cross section including agriculture, business and industry (non IT related), community based organizations, government, healthcare, higher education, information technology and related vendors, K-12 education, libraries, and tourism, recreation and parks. The terms of the standing Board of Directors is:

Justin Blumhorst is employed by Capabilities, Inc.
Justin was appointed by the Board of Directors.
Justin's term expires June 30, 2012.

Nic Delamotte is employed by Fort Amanda Specialties
Nic was appointed by the Board of Directors on 04.20.2011.
Nic's term expires June 30, 2013.

Eric Germann is employed by The Lima News.
Eric was appointed by the Board of Directors.
Eric's term expires June 30, 2012.

George Gulbis is employed by Ohio Northern University.
George's term expires June 30, 2011.

Jeff Le Blanc is employed by the University of Northwestern Ohio.
Jeff was appointed to the Chair position 11.18.2009.
Jeff was appointed Treasurer of the LRITA Board 03.19.2009.
Jeff's term expires June 30, 2012.

Chris McVety is employed by SMS proTECH.
Chris was appointed by the Board of Directors on
Chris' term expires June 30, 2012.

Diane Moots is employed by Rhodes State College.
Diane was appointed as co-Vice Chair 11.18.2009.
Diane stepped down as co-Vice Chair 06.30.2010
Diane's current term expires June 30, 2012.

Brent Nussbaum is employed by The Union Bank Co.
Brent was appointed to the Board of Directors 11.18.2009 to replace a mid-term vacancy on the board.
Brent's term expires June 30, 2012.

Tim Smith is employed by SMS proTECH.
Tim was appointed by the Board of Directors on
Tim's current term expires June 30, 2012.

Tim Stuckey is the President/CEO of CorpComm Group.
Tim was appointed by the Board of Directors on
Tim's current term expires June 30, 2012.
